Glacier View Lodge includes guided tours of both the Athabasca Glacier and the Columbia Icefield Skywalk with every room stay. A dedicated welcome reception offers signature cocktails and charcuterie each evening from 5pm to 7pm. The hotel provides a private tour bus for hotel guests only, separating them from day-visitor crowds.

Rooms Designed for the Mountain Setting

Spacious rooms at Glacier View Lodge feature floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Athabasca Glacier or the surrounding Canadian Rockies. Each room has a signature plush bed, a large TV, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A loft-style room is available with three queen beds and two Dyson heater/cooler units.

Location on the Icefields Parkway

The hotel sits on the top floor of the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre, directly on the renowned Icefields Parkway (Highway 93). It is a 1-hour drive from the town of Jasper and 20 miles from Hamber Provincial Park. Nearby natural attractions include Tangle Creek Falls and Sunwapta Lake.

The Altitude Restaurant serves Canadian cuisine developed by the hotel's Executive Chef, with dishes like Arctic char and lamb. A second dining option, the Chalet, is a cafeteria serving salads, hamburgers, and wraps. Starbucks is also available on site for consistent coffee and food.

Glacier View Lodge offers convenient upper-level parking for guests, separate from the visitor center lots. The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk and a shuttle service (the Brewster Express) for arrivals from Jasper or Banff. A gift shop and photo shop are located in the Discovery Centre below the hotel.
